Map Layers
GPS Tracking TR web app supports multiple map layers, including popular providers like OpenStreetMap, Mapbox and many others. By default we use LocationIQ vector map, which is based on OpenStreetMap data.
Some map options are disabled by default and some require an API key. To enable map layers check Active Maps under the map section on the preferences page:
Custom Map
Using custom layer it is possible to use any standard tile server with GPS Tracking TR. For example, it is possible to use a offline or locally hosted map. There are also many third party services that provide various tile options that can be utilized using custom map.
To enable custom map, set custom map in the server settings. It has to be a special URL with {x}, {y} and {z} placeholders.

The deployment of localized or offline tile servers enables absolute mapping continuity for tracking solutions within high-security environments or regions with restricted web infrastructure access. When establishing coordinate rendering nodes using custom placeholders like {z}, {y}, and {x}, verifying structured directory pathways prevents data transmission bottlenecks and guarantees seamless geographic vector mapping performance across real-time operations.
To improve application fluidity on mobile clients and control server data quotas, implementing proper cache control headers on your tile provider cluster is strongly recommended. This setup permits the internal interface engine to store frequently visited spatial segments locally, reducing asset rendering latencies while sustaining rapid coordinate rendering updates for active corporate assets.
